Tamarack Court offers assisted living with just the right amount of privacy and independence: a skilled and caring staff to assist with any living or health care needs in private apartments specially designed for our tenants.

Care Services At Tamarack Court
Assistance with TED Hose or Compression Stockings: Includes assistance with putting on stockings in the morning, removing them at night. Service also includes lotioning legs, assistance with shoes, and washings at night.
Assistance with Toileting or Incontinence: Assistance on/off toilet or commode, changing incontinent products, providing hygiene after changes, changing clothing as needed, emptying commode, monitoring skin condition.
Assistance with Transfers: Assistance getting in and out of chair, transferring from chair to bed etc.
Medication Administration: Includes administration of medications as ordered by the physician, ordering medications from the pharmacy, communication with the physician in relation to changes in medications, and
central storage of medications. Administration includes: oral medications, eye drops, nasal sprays, inhalers, and topical skin lotions/ointments, ear drops, suppositories, medication patches, etc. May also include insulin administration.
Bathing Assistance: Assistance with bathing/showering in tenant’s apartment or whirlpool. May include getting in/out of shower, assist with washing, rinsing, drying, lotion, nail care, shampooing hair as requested.
Blood Pressure Checks: On-going blood pressure monitoring as ordered by physician, contacting physician with abnormalities, and documentation of readings.
Dressing/Grooming Assistance AM and/or PM: Includes assistance with putting on or removing clothing, including TED stockings. Also includes assistance with grooming needs such as: combing hair, applying deodorant, shaving, oral care, washing face.
Escort Assistance: Physical/standby assistance to destinations within the facility for those tenants with mobility limitations. Includes escort to meals and activities.
Glucose Monitoring: Blood sugar testing as ordered by physician, contacting physician with abnormalities, ordering supplies as needed, and documentation of readings.
Incidental Nursing: Providing assistance to tenants with anything other than services covered by their monthly rent and/or service agreement. Examples of these services may include: extra linen change, answering calls, and/or short-term physician orders such as checking blood pressure, weights, foot soaks, etc. They are performed by either home health aides or licensed nurses, depending on the service.
Insulin Set-Up: Includes insulin syringes being pre- filled by a licensed nurse, ordering medication, communication with physician regarding any changes and central storage of medication.
Insulin Observation/Administration: Assistance with providing tenants with insulin for self administration. Nursing staff will monitor that correct dose is given and that the tenant is physically and mentally able to self administer. if tenant is physically or mentally unable to self administer; staff will administer insulin per physicians orders.
Nebulizer Treatments: Assistance with providing setup, obtaining medication, cleaning equipment (daily and weekly), maintenance of equipment, and communication with physician regarding any changes.
Oxygen Assistance: Ordering O2 as needed, assistance with management of the equipment, ordering supplies as needed, washing filter weekly, changing tubing, replace portable oxygen as needed, monitoring of liters ordered, consulting with physician regarding problems and compliance. Also includes cost of running concentrator 24/7.
Oxygen Saturation (O2 Sats) Checks: Oxygen level testing as ordered per physician, contacting physician with abnormalities, and documentation of readings.
Reminders/Redirection: This service is provided to those tenants who, due to confusion/forgetfulness, have difficulty finding specific locations, or need frequent reminders. It includes reminders of mealtimes, physical assistance to dining room or other areas of the facility, including the tenant’s apartment.
Skin Care: This service is dependent on the type of skin care indicated. It may include applying lotion daily (over and above the scheduled bath), other skin care as requested by the tenant, or treatment as ordered by physician.
Safety Checks: Includes staff members checking on tenant to ensure their safety/well-being. These checks are in addition to the 3 daily checks and may be provided from hourly to daily.
